German Shepherd Meets Newborn Kittens for the First Time!

The thing that always gets me about videos like this is how gentle larger animals are with tiny animals. They give them their space and respect the tiny creatures while being intensely interested in them. So sweet!Oh my gosh. This brings back wonderful memories! Our German Shepherd in the 1950s-60s, Rex, was SOOOOO curious, sweet and gentle with baby animals! My older sister weorked at a veterinary clinic and would occasionally bring home, for care and reintroduction into the wild, baby birds, squirrels, possums and bunnies. Rex was the BEST dad to them! Thanks for triggering such wonderful memories. My dog, Chloe, a hunting dog, raised my 4 cats. She was so excited whenever she saw kittens, puppies, baby anything and everything, we were blessed. She sniffed them, cleaned them, watched over them and protected them. The last kitten, Bella, she even taught how to growl like a dog, 2 weeks before she went to heaven. This handsome Shepherd doesn’t know what to make of them, but I’m sure he’d protect them.Aw…the newborn kitties are instinctively looking for their momma kitty. I love Rocky”s concerned expressions, what a sweet doggy. 🧡🧡🧡Eu acho que vi dois gatinhos 😹😹 👏👏👏👏👏🐤 Piu Piu 💚💛 Amor de Mãe, Amor dos Animais. Abraço do Rio de janeiro 👍😃My senior Shepherd (was my assistance dog for years!) passed away last year peacefully beside me in bed one night. But his entire life, THIS was him. So calm, so quiet, so loving. He was like this with house kittens, with farm puppies and kittens, with wee baby cattle, with goats, with baby tamed rats, etc. Miss him so. Thanks for sharing this!Oh such a beautiful Shepherd 😍 💕 brings me back to when I was a kid, our “Misty” looked much like this beautiful doggy. Don’t know if she would’ve been this sweet with kittens but who knows! Love this 🥰🐕 BTW love your drapes 😊
